UKA COMMITTEE ON THE SELECTION PROCESS OF AN UKA 2026 PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE MEETS

Today the Committee on the Selection of an UKA 2026 Presidential Candidate met to discuss the roadmap and guidelines on selecting the Presidential Candidate of the United Kwacha Alliance. This was after the full UKA Council of Presidents (CoP), meeting of 19th August 2024 constituted the Committee to discuss the aforementioned guidelines.
The Committee discussed the guiding principles, proposed methodology and time-frame that the structure and roadmap shall encompass.
The Committee of five is comprised as follows:
1. Sakwiba Sikota SC (Chairman)
2. President Chishala Kateka (Vice Chairperson)
3. President Sean Tembo
4. President Saboi Imboela
5. Hon. Lucky Mulusa (Secretary General)
The Committee has since submitted the recommendations of the meeting to the full Council of Presidents, CoP, for consideration.

Mistake No.1: Annointing instead of Popular Vote through Convention. These Africans with their MDs (Mental Deficiencies), they never learn!!
It’s their business who becomes their presidential candidate. Outsiders have no right to interfere. I personally do not care because these are private citizens, my fellow citizens, who do not have to agree with me.
Let’s hope they never sat just to recommend the former chakuti who is likely to become a witness in one of the ongoing cases because if they did that, a great disappointment awaits them.
Really a great disappointment awaits. Those heads what name can they suggest apart from former chakuti.
The biggest mistake the team will regret making(unless they choose silver over integrity) is to cause Zambians sleepless nights wondering whether it is wise for them to go back to their vomit.
Secondly, a repeat of the Mulungushi saga, only on a smaller scale, will spell disaster.
Edgar Lungu has already made it very clear. He’s UKA and UKA is Edgar Lungu. I do not know why they’re beating about the bush. The most they’re all hoping for here is being running mate for Edgar Lungu.
