UKA NOT IN A HURRY TO APPOINT A LEADER
The United Kwacha Alliance -UKA- says it is not in a hurry to appoint a leader and that those making such calls do not have the best interest of the grouping.
In an interview with Phoenix News, UKA Chairperson Saboi Imboela says the alliance is aware of calls from several stakeholders to appoint a leader but that it is currently preoccupied with institutionalizing it and ensuring that it has proper documentation to guide its operations.
Ms. Imboela explains that since UKA was formed some months ago, many things are yet to be put in place before considering the appointment of its leader.
He has questioned why some individuals seem interested for the alliance to select a leader, saying it still has a long way to go before it considers doing so.
Ms. Imboela adds that the alliance will not pick a leader based on alliance members’ favorites but will visit all 10 provinces of Zambia to ensure that the leader who will be selected is a preference of many Zambians.

You are not in a hurry because you know the moment a leader is appointed the rest of the parties will withdraw and your ukwa will disintegrate. So you are trying to keep it together for as long as possible by delaying the appointment of a leader. You are just delaying the inevitable.
Madam Saboi Imboela is a courageous young lady whose character cannot be questioned..Her leadership style is not copy and paste…she openly told off those boot lickers;Given Lubinda, Raphael Nakachinda and others that Edgar Chagwa Lungu is not a saleable candidate for 2026 because of case that might follow him as we approach 2026.Madam Saboi Imboela keep it up you mean well for zambia and also seek audience with the republican president and discuss a number of national matters which you feel you can offer solutions.
You are not in a hurry but don’t over relax, 2026 is around the corner, UKA needs a leader. That’s what PF did with its convention, ati we are not in a hurry and they could not even do it altogether. That’s how the Sampa faction ended up doing their own convention and appointed their own leader because they were tired of waiting. The next thing we shall hear about UKA is failing to come up with a leader and finally disintegrating.
Mr. Sean Tembo has already endorsed Mr. Edgar Lungu as President of UKWA and presumptive 2026 presidential candidate. The others are likely to follow and you, Bo ma Imboela, will be left high and dry. The Titanic would have sailed out without you.
The deafening silence from the other UKWA leaders says a lot.
Saboi has already come out as a divider of the alliance, if you have things you do not agree with within the alliance , you don’t complain through the media, you sort it inhouse, but it is the level of maturity that defines a leader. No wonder she always wants to protest by nudity
For sure you are not in a hurry, but don’t blame UPND in 2026 for the confusion you will have among yourselves. Don’t say UPND is buying some of you when that time come.
