UPND SG BATUKE IMENDA’ COMPLAINT AGAINST POLITICAL APPOINTEES TIMELY -MUVOMBO DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE
We have taken time to analyze the impact message of UPND SG who is the CEO of the ruling party regarding behavior of some Ministers and PSs and Directors
Our stance is that, this call if implemented will achieve the following
1. Government and ruling party dialogue towards one agenda and eliminating the current gap between those serving in government though appointed politically and the party structures aspirations and supervision towards party manifesto key deliverables.
2. In the absence of Ministers and MPs in the constituencies party leaders will act as bridge between the people and elected representatives and resolve burning issue that has seen 60 % ruling MPs failing to return to parliament.
3. Harmonization of party leadership and government politically appointees drastically increases party performance and political influence and create easy policy directive especially when policies do not change people’s lives , the party in power act as a reflective mirror to those in government because they live and mingle with people on the ground and they will give direct feedback on responsive policies
4. UPND almost lost elections because of the gap that was seen between party structure and political appointees where those in government funded opposition through acquisition of contracts and impartial selection of opportunities against party members who were told that this government it does not tolerate carders yet these appointees went in bed with the highest bidder at the cost of the party president whom they punished later to convince people through nonstop campaign a thing we must never expose any future president to it, because it is not healthy and sustainable to the life of the Head of State, this revealed and exposed lack of coordination between party structures and central government.
5. Stoning of president Hakainde Hichilema in chingola demonstrated and communicated a big signal of the gap between ministers mishandling mines and the province while cheering the support of President Hakainde Hichilema , MDI submit that the new minister of Copperbelt must be new and politically sensitive to meet the noise currently blowing on the ground because of careless handling of mines activities by few greedy ministers who enriched themselves at the expense of party members and government interests
We call on the president Hakainde Hichilema to show political will and support the CEO of the party and discipline those failing to heed to party secretariat political advice, If President Hakainde Hichilema can go to secretariat why not Ministers and others appointees, perhaps the CEO was a diplomatic in his position, Mr President secretariat for UPND is a most deserted place and require funding those who have visited complain of being asked money because those few workers and youths fail to support their families yet we are in ruling and daily tenders are being given to the opposition who weaponize the same resource and fund illegal activities against government. Discipline all political appointees those who fail to provide result oriented deliverables that include party funding mechanisms that should continuously support party mobilization on the ground.
Muvombo development initiative hold a view that if above matters are not addressed in this term what happened in the just ended elections will have more impact come 2031 because royalty must be respected in terms of reward as we seek to grow Zambia. We must have a strong ruling party that command political influence and financial sound to empower lower structures.
Media funding is key, without special funding to media organizations including aligned media companies it will be difficult for information and development to be fully understood by people on the street, perception is everything and media has proved to be a political tool if information is to be shared before election deciding vote .
This advice is sought by reflecting what could have happened if Zambia changed this president Hakainde Hichilema, all progressive policies among others free education, feeding programs, increased CDF and energy open access the list in going , could have suffered a political will that would have affected our people negatively. It is in this breath that yes we need democracy but what type of democracy is this that threatens development and create political instability that have the capacity to scare investors who depend on the policy stability before considering to invest in Zambia
Muvombo development initiative has joined government as we complement efforts made by president Hakainde Hichilema and his government, we are in gear five to increase investment package hence opening the office in China that will act on increasing economic investments pledge to Zambia working together with ZDA
We ask Zambians to begin demand for controlled democracy that give room for development and policy maturity as we seek to grow Zambia
Changing governments without looking at impact on the country interest in a long run will cost this country. Why retiring a working government simply because we hate the one at the helm of the highest office or because of tribal and minority grouping this is not in the interests of the freedom fighters who sold animals and property to facilitate this peace today we are playing with.
Zambia has reached a danger position where fugitives outside Zambia can threaten a sitting head of state and we call this freedom of speech and democracy, Zambians these are criminals who are sending insults our children are made to listen every night against our constitutionally elected leaders shame .
We must invest in technology as a country so that such people are tamed and they are not allowed to paint Zambia black because of crimes they are failing to account .
We call for patriotic Zambian to help this newly elected government to succeed by closely working together with party structures and grow Zambia from within the party and outside without leaving other people behind.
Citizens position yourselves economically as we grow Zambia be part of the process and production to make Zambia stronger economically
