Chilangwa’s feelings to dissolve my executive is rubbish – Kamba
IT is illogical for anyone to claim that the Lusaka Province Patriotic Front (PF) executive committee was dissolved for losing an election yet our colleagues in Southern, Eastern, Western, and North-Western also lost but have not been dissolved, Kennedy Kamba has charged.
PF acting Secretary General Nickson Chilangwa dissolved the Lusaka Province committee citing indiscipline among its members and the fact that the party lost elections in the province.
But Mr. Kamba has told The Scoop that the decision to dissolve his team is to ensure that preferred candidates are barred from contesting for various positions, including the presidency, at the party’s national convention slated for next year.
“Did the party win in Southern, Eastern, Western, and North-Western Province? Why are these provincial executive committees not dissolved? What is special about the provincial executive committee in Lusaka? They just want to destroy the party. They do not want some preferred candidates to contest at the convention but we will listen to what people are saying on the ground,” Mr. Kamba said.
