Minister of Livestock and Fisheries Prof Nkandu Luo has joined in tribal talks which had been targeted against Tonga speaking people of Southern Province.
According to a 48 seconds video clip which has since gone viral , Luo said the only person who must take over the reigns must be within the tribe.
“As I said at first, I am Bisa. And where I come from in Bemba land, you can’t not let an outsider take over the reigns of a Bisa. If I die, it’s only a Bisa who can take over and not aTonga from Monze ” Luo explained in apparent reference to the late Chilubi MP Rosario Fundanga who was a Patriotic Front member against the UPND which was earlier labelled to have a Tonga President in the name of Hakainde Hichilema and Chilubi it’s candidate.
Last week another video surfaced in which Chanda Nyela, a staunch PF member openly asked the residents of Clhilubi against voting for any one connected to Tonga’s because they are bad people.
In a similar situation, PF mobilisation National Chairperson Bizwell Mutale this week said no Tonga will be President in Zambia. Mutale said the only chance Tonga’s have are that of becoming MPs.
