“We have visited Brian Mundubile and Makebi Zulu in prison, and we can confirm that they are in high spirits, healthy, physically fit and doing fine,” says Davies Mwila.

MUNDUBILE, MAKEBI REPORTED IN ‘HIGH SPIRITS’ AT MUKOBEKO

Brian Mundubile and Makebi Zulu are reportedly in high spirits and good health while being held at Mukobeko Maximum Security Prison, according to BM8 ECL Movement National Chairperson Davies Mwila.

Mwila, who visited Mundubile and others at the prison, said authorities allowed him to see and interact with the group. He has since appealed to members of the movement to remain calm.

The development comes after concerns were raised earlier this week over access to the detainees. Their legal team had complained that it had been unable to see them following their transfer to Mukobeko.

Lawyer Sakwiba Sikota has now also been granted access to his clients, marking a significant change from the situation reported earlier.

Mundubile and his co-accused are facing treason charges.
