“We know the names of these traitors who fled Venezuela and systematically worked for the American intelligence services” – Russian ambassador to Caracas

The Russian ambassador to Caracas, Sergei Melik-Bagdasarov, made a startling revelation on Russian state television. In an interview with Rossiya-24, the diplomat confirmed that Moscow had identified the Venezuelan officials who worked for the CIA and facilitated the capture of the former dictator.

“We know the names of these traitors who fled Venezuela and systematically worked for the American intelligence services,” the ambassador stated bluntly.

According to Melik-Bagdasarov, the betrayal did not begin in the early hours of January 3, but had been in preparation for much longer.

The Venezuelan security forces simply failed in their duty to act. Interference had been detected by radar the previous night, the air defenses were never activated, and the order to retaliate arrived at 4:00 a.m., when Maduro was already en route to New York.  The diplomat was categorical: “Many local law enforcement officers did not do everything in their power.”

Most revealing is that these “traitors” are no longer in Venezuela. They fled immediately after the operation, thus confirming the existence of the network of infiltrators that US intelligence services had been building for years within the Chavista regime.

Russia now has the names. The question is: what will it do with them?
