Another useless statistic. Where are the real journalist in Zambia? So this is said. Then what?
Where is this said statistic meant to take us?
Let publish articles that educate and stimulate thought provoking matters. This is what I expect a form two student or grade seven student to engage in as they delve in civics and civic eduation. Who what how kind of invocation of ones mind. Got time? Use this to expand wiikipedia article on the Government of Zambia.
Reading the comments just edifies the point am making. We have so materialistic and driven just the need to seek positions not to serve but to line our pockets and strut around feeling we are better than those around us.
When infact we are nothing. Just mere mortals abusing our talents for the wrong reason. When these posotions are taken from us. We are just pathetic souls. Have we not learnt anything from the current and past president? The contrast between the two says alot about wealth money and what it means to have it.

So, how much one earns per month doesn’t matter. Why are doctors, managers and other professionals trying to so desperately to become MPs? Why leave a Banking job to become a government ‘dependant’ ? There is something you need to find out. What sort of journalism do you practice?
Dont look at basic salary. Look at what your position can make you. The zesco MD might earn more than the President on paper but in reality when you add what the President gets in terms of allowances, favours, kickbacks, trips, gifts, land allocation, business deals etc etc he earns 10 times more than the zesco MD. Same with the MPs. That’s why a zesco MD will resign from his cushy job to go and stand as an MP in a rural area.
