Why not use ZAF?

$100million; AERIAL geological mapping of Zambia

Government has signed and commissioned a US$100 million contract with Xcalibur Multi-physics to undertake aerial geological and mineral mapping of Zambia.

Government has not explained why (for security and strategic reasons) it did not use the capabilities of the Zambia Airforce (ZAF), University of Zambia and local experts.

A similar study, the Geological Mapping and Mineral Information Service Project was done
under a contract between Zambia and Japan where JICA contracted Mitsui Mineral Development Engineering Co. Ltd of Japan (MINDECO) for 30 months, from January 2007 to July 2009.

Zambia has embarked and commissioned high-resolution aerial geophysical technology to explore for more minerals.

The nationwide geophysical technology survey, would pave the way for targeted exploration and location of mineral and water resources.

A company with headquarters in Madrid Spain called Xcalibur Smart Mapping ( Xcalibur Smart Mapping, the brand name that encompasses all the group’s companies (including Xcalibur Multiphysics Group and Xcalibur Aviation South Africa), was sourced to conduct airborne surveys to provide a map of Zambia’s natural capital of both renewable and non-renewable resources.

British Deputy High Commissioner & Development Director Sam Waldock expressed happiness at the development

“Very excited to attend the flag-off ceremony for Zambia’s new geophysical survey. 9 aircraft will fly the equivalent of 80 x round-the-world G to map every corner of Zambia.”

  1. Our minerals are in big trouble. He wants to sell the entire country before his term is up. He is only thinking about what he will gain for himself and his LGBT masters. KK left those minerals for future generations, and focused on farming. Why is he greedy this villager?

Zambians, wake up. This man is not up to any good. He is a conman.

    Vote very wisely in 2026.

    • You really need help because your bitterness is beyond human understanding. The said undertaking is only for exploration purposes, no one taking away any mineral by this exercise so I don’t know how that amounts to selling the minerals. It’s like us Zambians we are confused population who don’t know what we want. On one hand we complain when we don’t benefit from the mineral whealth because in most cases we don’t know what we have so we fail to negotiate appropriately with but again we want to complain when government decides to establish the mineral wealth wr have in the country by conducting a geological survey so that we can negotiate better with would be investors because we would be basing it on aknowledge but seems this is still bad for some people. And asking why ZAF was not used is question for elementary level. Surely does ZAF have the equipment to undertake such an undertaking? Is it just for the sake of saying that we used ZAF for the survey or we want a good job to be done and do it once and for all?

      • They need kick backs, that is why they can not use ZAF. Corruption, my deluded Zambezi friend, it is corruption.

KK knew about those minerals by the way. But he was not a greedy puppet.

You small god just needs to go before he sells the whole country. Let him sell Southern province if he really wants.

        • It’s funny that a person like you can call someone deluded. For a person who thinks everyone who supports president HH is from the so called Zambezi region, you seem to be the perfect example of a.deluded person. I’m sure you have no idea about mining and what it entails so I and can understand your ignorance. But just educate you a tribalist, some of us are not from the so called zambezi region but I know it’s hard for a tribalist like you to believe it, so I will let you be with your delusion.

        • It’s funny that a person like you can call someone deluded. For a person who thinks everyone who supports president HH is from the so called “Zambezi” region, you seem to be the perfect example of a deluded person. I’m sure you have no idea about mining and what it entails so I and can understand your ignorance about it. But just to educate you a tribalist, some of us are not from the so called zambezi region but I know it’s hard for a tribalist like you to believe it, so I will let you be with your delusion. And just so you know, some us have been in the mining industry for decades and I know what mining is all about.

        • Indigo Tyrol’s actually in the business of promoting tribal hatred. I do not understand why the law has not yet reached him. And he dresses up his commentary as the position of the Bemba people when this is utterly false because it’s aimed at telling readers that HH is hated by the Bembas and only liked by those from the Zambezi region. If your aim is to partition Zambia, just say it. After all this is just a country put together by colonialism.

  2. Ati use ZAF? What technology has ZAF development? Remember this company does not use twitter or Facebook to communicate within its company, it uses apps that it designed itself. The survey software that it designed itself. So , tell me more about who ZAF is technology wise? Or whoever in Zambia? Even currently simple domestic Solar panels are being imported, yet you have students at UNZA, who, during exams, can design and manufacture a whole generator, on paper.

  3. New dogs kafulumende watama!
Up and down party of National Disasters!
    Country secrets exposed!
    Bedrooms not spared.
When they find anything valuable, you think they will tell us?
They are doing the mapping for themselves to serve their own interests, thanks to the traitors and Dealers you call leaders!
    Nabashishita Zambia as predicted!

  4. There is your Mwamba, always trying to be relevant when he is not. He speaks like someone who never did Science at school. He doesn’t know that the mineral detecting high tech equipment fitted on those planes can not be fitted on ZAF planes. In Zambia we are even late to do this job, go to countries like Botswana, this job was done in long time ago. And with this advanced technology there is no part of the country which you can claim to be still secret, just try to google, you will be shocked to find maps of Zambia which show even bush paths at your village. If need be, an attack on Zambia can be planned in America thousands of miles away and can be implemented with full accuracy because they have all the details about every corner of Zambia. Even Rhodesian Ian Smith used to come as far as Mkushi and successfully carried out his invasions there. People now use satellites to do the mapping and not planes, Mwamba is still living in the past. This special exercise is being carried out to detect minerals underground, something a satellite or ZAF planes cannot do. At least you can see some sense now.
