TREASON CHARGE GOES TO UK PARLIAMENT: Lord Roberts Of Llandudno Has Placed A Question For Foreign Ministry On Incarcerated Retired Anglican Bishop Trevor Mwamba Who Is Held In A Maximum Prison On Treason Charges With 18 Others
A notice in the United Kingdom parliament placed by Liberal Democrat Lord Roberts is demanding answers on the whereabouts of Bishop Trevor Mwamba.
Lord Roberts seeks to ask His Majesty’s Government what information they have received concerning the factual basis for the treason charge brought against the Right Reverend Dr Trevor Mwamba in Zambia; and whether they have sought assurances that he will receive due process and a fair and prompt trial.
Further, Lord Roberts is asking His Majesty’s Government whether representatives of the British High Commission in Lusaka have sought to establish the location, condition and treatment of the Right Reverend Dr Trevor Mwamba; and whether he has been granted regular access to his legal representatives, family and any necessary medical care
The UK Parliament is expecting a response within 15 days.
On Monday, prison authorities denied Bishop Mwamba access to medication and visitation by lawyers and family members hours after he was transferred from the filthy Matero Police Cells to Mukobeko Maximum Prison in Kabwe.
Opposition leader Brian Mundubile, Makebi Zulu and others are also held at the same facility.

Anglican Archbishop Thabo Makgoba of Cape Town has strongly condemned the “arbitrary arrests” of opposition figures in Zambia, demanding respect for due process following the country’s recent disputed national election.
In an official statement released by the Office of the Anglican Archbishop of Cape Town, the Church expressed deep concern over the sudden disappearance and subsequent detention of Bishop Trevor Mwamba, a prominent theologian, retired Anglican Bishop of Botswana, and current leader of Zambia’s United National Independence Party (UNIP).
Bishop Mwamba is retired and was not found praying in any church of England.He should be no consequence but just an irritating inconvenience to the crown

Even if the case has gone to UK Parliament, it does not reduce or increase his case only the Courts will determine whether he is guilty or not. And some cases are individual sovereign country’s own internal affairs, we don’t want any interference from Britain or any other country, we are no longer a colony.
Bishop Trevor Mwamba is a politician in Zambia who was found at a crime scene. The charges slapped on him are criminal in nature. These are serious charges in any functional democracy. People rise to power using democratic mechanisms and not by guns. The crime scene was neither in England nor South Africa, it was in Zambia. Our competent courts will determine their fate or innocence.
