Zambians would suffer if President HH took Lusambo’s advice
“Those who live in a glass houses shouldn’t throw stones,” said a wise man many years ago.
Unfortunately, Patriotic Front (PF) cadre Bowman Lusambo appears to be ignoring these free words of wisdom.
Mr Lusamabo went on Muvi TV and started posturing to the viewers that he wanted to work with President Hakainde Hichilema to ensure that he succeeds.
He confessed that hates praise singers and claimed that they were responsible for President Hichilema’s alleged failures.
Mr Lusambo spoke about Zambia’s economy being bad but did not bother to tell the Zambian people how his political party left the country when the PF was voted out in 2021.
The PF left the Zambian people without any goodwill from the International community.
The Bretton Woods institutions like the World Bank and the International Money Fund (IMF) could not lend Zambia any money at concessional rates because of poor economic and governance record by the PF during their tenure.
The World Bank and the IMF are now lending Zambia at zero interest rates because of the leadership being provided by President Hichilema and his administration.
PF cadre Lusambo is talking about lack of medicines in public health facilities.
We understand there are challenges of medical drugs but Lusambo cannot be the answer.
The Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMSSA) is on top of the procurement process and soon the challenges will be a thing of the past.
Zambians should understand that although the ZAMMSA Act was enacted in 2019, the PF did not bring the law into effect.
However, the United Party for National Development (UPND) which begun the operationalisation of ZAMMSA.
Moreover, who is Lusambo to even talk about free education and meal allowances which they scrapped during their tenure.
President Hichilema has extended free education from grades one to 12 and given meal allowance to university level.
Zambians should know that Lusambo cannot have solutions to fuel prices because his party was getting the commodity on credit and left a staggering debt of US$500 million at the time the Zambian people chased the PF out of government in August 2021.
The UPND was left with a huge burden of paying back the debt which the PF contracted carelessly.
Zambians were being lied to as having cheap fuel when the PF were not paying for it.
Lusambo should tell the Zambian people whether it is a bad thing for President Hichilema to let us stop paying school fees in public schools and give university students meal allowances.
He should tell us whether paying retirees within three months after stopping work is bad.
All we know is that if President Hichilema listened to Lusambo, the Zambian would suffer.
Lusambo is unhappy that President Hichilema has raised Constituency Development Fund from K1.6 million to K28.3 million.
Lusambo and the PF never wanted the Zambian people in all the 156 constituencies in the country to benefit from their money as they selectively gave it to some constituencies and their militia who later brutalised innocent Zambian people. This is too much to forget and is still fresh on the minds of Zambians. We can’t be fooled. Lusambo, Zambians are smarter than you.
