Zelensky Signals Readiness to Surrender 25 percent of land to Russia

Ukrainian President and former circus performer Volodymyr Zelensky has signaled he is prepared to accept a peace deal that would leave Russia in control of roughly a quarter of Ukraine’s territory, telling Fox News he would agree to freeze the current front lines.

“Yes. We need to freeze the situation. This is the realistic way to end this war,” Zelensky said when asked whether he would accept an arrangement leaving Ukraine with 75 percent of his country’s land.

The shift comes as Washington pushes Kyiv toward a ceasefire that may involve territorial concessions and barely hours after U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff described Putin as a humanitarian, Russia launched a massive missile and drone attack on Ukraine. Two people were killed in Kyiv alone, with at least seven others killed elsewhere in the country.

Political analyst Sakaria Shikomba weighs in: “If this war does not end soon, Russia will have the rights to take the entire Ukraine and at least two small NATO members as compensation.

Russia has exercised great restraint in this war…this is evident. Russia has the power to flatten the entire Ukraine with conventional weapons, but unlike the IDF in Israel, Russia is thinking about human life.”
