Joe Rogan Turns on Trump Over Iran War: “What the F*ck Are We Doing?”
Joe Rogan, once a vocal Trump supporter, went off on the administration’s handling of the Iran war during a recent episode of his podcast, calling the conflict “f*cking terrifying” and questioning whether anyone in Washington had any plan at all before the bombs started falling.
Rogan made the comments during an interview with comedian David Cross, with both men expressing mounting alarm over the escalating situation. “Any time you’re involved with shooting missiles into towns and blowing up infrastructure, blowing up bridges,” Rogan said, “it’s like, what the f*ck are we doing?”
Cross was equally blunt, arguing there was never any coherent strategy behind the military action. He also pointed to the Obama-era Iran Nuclear Deal that Trump scrapped in his first term as an example of diplomacy that was working before it was thrown away. “We’re in a worse place now than before this thing started,” Cross said.
Rogan didn’t dispute it. He reminded his audience that one of Trump’s biggest selling points was ending foreign entanglements. “Most people that wanted Trump in office, one of the things that was attractive was ‘no more wars,'” he said. “And now we’re in one of the craziest ones.”
He also raised alarm about China flying cargo planes of unknown contents into the region, while Cross noted that Russia has been feeding Iran intelligence on the locations of American troops.
The man who helped normalize Trump for millions of listeners now sounds like he can’t believe what he helped unleash.
