Kaumbwe MP Aaron Mwanza Defects from PF to UPND
Kaumbwe Patriotic Front (PF) Member of Parliament Aaron Mwanza has officially defected to the ruling United Party for National Development (UPND).
Dr. Mwanza said his decision was motivated by a desire to align with what he described as a development-driven team. He expressed confidence in President Hakainde Hichilema’s broad vision for the country, stating his intention to support it.
In a related development, Kaumbwe Constituency PF Chairperson Goodson Lungu has also defected to the UPND, bringing along his entire committee.
Mr. Lungu said the move is expected to trigger further defections from the opposition, adding that many citizens are satisfied with the development agenda under the current administration.
The defectors were formally received by Eastern Province UPND Chairperson Peter Phiri and members of his team.
