North Korea Declares Nuclear Status “Non-Negotiable”

North Korea has declared that its nuclear weapons program and status as a nuclear state are not legally bound by international non-proliferation agreements.

Kim Song stated that Pyongyang’s position as a nuclear-armed nation “will never change” regardless of outside pressure or the wishes of other countries.

The statement signals another hardline message from Pyongyang as tensions over nuclear deterrence continue to rise in the region.
