I set aside my political ambitions to support Hichilema, says Hamududu
PNUP president Highvie Hamududu says his Party was the third largest in the 2021 elections.
And Hamududu says his Party decided to back President Hakainde Hichilema because he is doing the right thing for the Country.
Speaking during a campaign rally in Mafinga of Muchinga Province, Hamududu said, the UPND government has delivered and deserves another term.
“Our party was the third largest in the last elections. First was the UPND, then PF, and then us, if we stood this year, we would have more Members of Parliament,” Hamududu said.
He added: “And maybe even more votes than we got last elections However, I realized that Zambia is bigger than me. President Hichilema and the Vice President have done a lot, so I decided to support them.”
Hamududu said his party resolved to back the New Dawn government because it is doing the right thing for the country and that he wants to be a part of those he sees doing well for Zambia and building Zambia back to its glory days.

Give us a break Mr. Hamadudu. You knew your party was headed nowhere so you want to ride on the coat tails of the UPND.
You had only one MP by fluke. The UPND candidate failed to successfully file nomination papers in 2021 and that is how you won the seat by default in Western Province, a UPND stronghold.
Hamududu, don’t insult us Kalaba’s party CF was third by head count. You think we don’t know what happened. That technicality was not going to be repeated this time around. By any measure you are not even close to Kalaba.
