MUKUNI ROYAL FOUNDATION MUST APOLOGIZE COZ TRIBALISM IS DANGEROUS – BAUSHI ROYAL FOUNDATION

The Baushi Royal Foundation ( BRF)  has condemned recent tribal remarks by Bene Mukuni Foundation Chairman,  Hon. Jonas Shakafuswa, calling them reckless, dangerous and unbecoming ,  ahead of Zambia’s 13th  August , 2026 General Elections.

Speaking in a released statement , the  BRF  representing  13 Baushi Chiefs of Luapula Province , reveals that ,  any suggestion that regions ‘own’ Zambia distorts National values because  such rhetoric undermines the uniting One Zambia One Nation spirit and threatens the peace built since independence.

The BRF Chief Executive Officer (CEO)  Prince  Kasongo Chimese Shapi points to the  shared heritage as proof of unity explaining that , the Chabuka Ne Sandulula Ceremony, celebrates the migration of Ushi, Bemba, Lunda and Bene Mukuni’s  People together without  division because  the  cultural heritage is shared, not monopolised .

The Foundation discloses that ,  tribal talk is dangerous because it  destabilizes peace, drags elections into identity Politics, and erodes National unity , stressing that elections  must be about ideas ,  policies, not ethnicity or origin.

Baushi Chiefs are  calling  on Hon. Shakafuswa to retract the remarks and apologize to Zambians  urging all  Cultural and Political Leaders to reject tribalism and champion inclusivity instead.

Prince Kasongo Chinese VIII who is Son to Chief Chimese of Mansa emphasizes that , Zambia belongs to all Zambians and as the Country  heads to the polls, Citizens must vote for development, for peace, and for a Zambia where every tribe and every Citizen has an equal place because Unity is our ancestors legacy.
