KING MISIZULU LASHES OUT, ACCUSES WIFE OF DISRESPECT

South Africa – A 4-minute video of Zulu King Misizulu kaZwelithini tearing into his third wife, Queen Nomzamo Mayeni, has gone viral, laying bare deep fractures in the royal household and sparking nationwide debate about respect, tradition, and privacy.
In the recording, a visibly enraged king vents his frustration over what he describes as his wife’s “out of control” conduct. His central grievance: she was making decisions and moving without his knowledge or permission.
The King, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, accused Queen Nomzamo of allowing and entertaining other men who were pursuing her.
He said he was deeply hurt that she attended services where a man he knows is “openly courting his wife” an act he called a direct disrespect to his throne and his marriage.
“You can go, I don’t care. Ngine ntombiyam mine,” he shouted, bragging that he has another girlfriend who respects him and that he would go to her instead.
“I do not want to see you anymore in my home,” he was heard yelling, making it clear the relationship had reached breaking point.
The leaked video has divided South Africans.
Many expressed sympathy for the King, saying no man, let alone a monarch should be publicly disrespected in his own home. Others questioned the source of the leak itself:
“What was the motive of recording this video?”several commenters asked, with suspicion falling on Queen Nomzamo that she leaked it.
Defenders of the Queen argued the outburst was likely the result of prolonged strain, with some claiming she was “tired of the abuse.”
The marriage has also been controversial from the start. Critics point out that Nomzamo came into the royal house with children born out of wedlock, something many traditionalists felt was taboo for a Zulu queen.
The palace has not issued an official statement.
