First time seeing you since you won elections; happy to see you Mr. President, Luangwa UPND official tells Hichilema
A LUANGWA District UPND official has told President Hakainde Hichilema that people in that area of Lusaka Province are living in poverty.
The official has also told President Hichilema that the district is battling 15 hours of daily network disruptions.
Speaking on stage before the Head of State addressed the rally, the official said Luangwa District was happy to see Hichilema whom they had last seen in 2021 during campaigns.
He said the people of that District battled numerous challenges among them, human—animal conflicts that lead to destruction of crops.
“The challenges we have here in Luangwa concern farming. Human—animal conflicts. We try to farm, but our agricultural produce gets destroyed by animals. Here where we are, we don’t even have food. Not that we did not cultivate, but that what we grew was destroyed by animals,” the official said adding that, despite the challenges, they would still vote for Hichilema on August 13.
The official assured the President of his vote to avert loss of elections like the defeat the PF suffered in 2021 elections.
“Mr. President, what happened in 2021 will not happen [to you],” the official assured Hichilema.
