KALABA SAYS HE WILL APPOINT VICE PRESIDENT BEFORE SWEARING-IN AS PRESIDENT NEXT MONTH
Citizens First (CF) president Harry Kalaba says he will appoint a new running mate before being sworn in as President when he wins the August general election.
Speaking in Bemba during an interview on Radio Yusuf in Mpika on Friday night, Kalaba said the resignation of his former running mate, Moses Mawere, would not affect his presidential bid.
According to a report by News Diggers, Kalaba was responding to questions about Mawere’s decision earlier that day to resign as his running mate and endorse NRPUP presidential candidate Brian Mundubile.
Kalaba maintained that he would not endorse any other presidential candidate ahead of the August polls, saying instead that he was focused on seeking endorsements for his own campaign.
He added that the departure of his former running mate would not derail his plans, stating that he would select another vice-presidential candidate before taking the oath of office should he be elected President.
