TONSE-PAMODZI ALLIANCE CANDIDATE ATTACKED IN SERENJE’S LUKUSASHI
Tonse–National Restoration Party for Unity and Prosperity (NRPUP) candidate for Serenje’s Lukusashi Constituency, Chester Kasonde, has been attacked and injured by suspected UPND thugs
The victim confirmed to Serenje Radio that he sustained injuries and that the perpetrators grabbed the keys to his vehicle.
According to the ECZ calendar developed by all parties in Serenje’s Lukusashi Constituency, the opposition political party was scheduled to be in Kabwe Kupela Ward during Week 8, July 10–16.
The attack occurred in Nchimishi area where Kasonde and his entourage were injured.
Police Spokesperson Godfrey Chilabi said he had not yet received an official report and referred all queries to the Central Province Commissioner of Police for confirmation and further details.
