Brazilian legend Ronaldinho says he finds it difficult to name Lionel Messi as the greatest player of all time not because of a lack of admiration, but because football has produced legends in every generation.
️ Ronaldinho:
“I can’t say Messi is the best ever. He’s the best of his time, but there were also Maradona, Pelé and Ronaldo.”
Ronaldinho, who played alongside Messi at Barcelona, has always spoken highly of the Argentine’s talent. However, he believes comparing players from different eras is never straightforward.
Instead of choosing one all-time greatest, the former Ballon d’Or winner prefers to appreciate each legend for what they achieved in their own generation.
