ZELENSKYY: UKRAINE PRODUCES 10 MILLION DRONES A YEAR—AND PLANS TO DOUBLE IT
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says Ukraine’s defense industry is now capable of producing 10 million drones per year, with plans to increase that number to 20 million annually.
Speaking during celebrations marking the Day of Ukrainian Statehood and the Baptism of Kyivan Rus, Zelensky reflected on how dramatically Ukraine’s defense industry has evolved. Just one year ago, the goal of producing 1 million drones annually was considered ambitious. Today, that figure has increased tenfold, with plans to double it again.
The implications on the battlefield are enormous.
Modern warfare is increasingly being shaped by drones. They hunt infantry, armored vehicles, artillery, logistics convoys, helicopters, ships, and even air defense systems. As production continues to rise, Russia’s greatest vulnerability—its manpower—faces an increasingly difficult challenge.
No army can continue launching mass assaults indefinitely when it is being watched from above every hour of every day.
