MALAYSIA REAFFIRMS BAN ON ISRAELI NATIONALS, PRIME MINISTER ANWAR IBRAHIM SAYS NO COMPROMISE ON POLICY

Malaysia’s Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has reaffirmed that his government will not compromise on its position regarding Israel, stating that any Israeli citizen found inside Malaysia would face immediate action, including removal from the country.

Anwar said Malaysian security authorities are conducting investigations into reports that individuals of Israeli origin may have entered the country using alternative nationalities, particularly in the southern state of Johor

The Prime Minister emphasized that Malaysia does not recognize Israel diplomatically and that the government would not allow unauthorized Israeli presence within its borders.

The statement reinforces Malaysia’s long-standing foreign policy stance on the Israeli–Palestinian conflict and its support for the Palestinian cause. Kuala Lumpur has historically maintained a firm position against establishing diplomatic relations with Israel while calling for international support for Palestinian rights.

Malaysian officials said security agencies will continue monitoring any activities linked to individuals suspected of violating the country’s immigration and national security policies.

The announcement comes amid heightened global tensions over the Gaza conflict, with several governments facing domestic and international pressure over their positions toward Israel and Palestine.
