No Independent Candidate Has My Endorsement-HH
President Hakainde Hichilema has urged voters not to believe any independent candidate who claims to have his support.
President Hichilema says he is the President of the UPND and has only endorsed UPND candidates contesting as Members of Parliament, councillors, council chairpersons and mayors.
He says no independent candidate should mislead voters by claiming to be backed by him.
The President was speaking during a public rally in Nakonde on Wednesday.
Zambians will go to the polls on 13 August 2026, with only a few weeks remaining before election day.
