SCOTT WAS A DEMOCRAT – VEEP
Vice-President Mutale Nalumango has paid tribute to the late former Vice-President Guy Scott, describing him as a democrat whose principles were embraced by all Zambians.
She underscored Dr Scott’s role in transforming Zambia from a One Party State, supporting multi-party democracy through the Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) and later the Patriotic Front (PF).
Ms Mutale-Nalumango noted that Dr Scott’s presence would be deeply missed on the political scene, especially given his good working relationship with the United Party for National Development (UPND).
She shared her personal experience working with him, stating, “I worked with him, flew with him, and he was a friend of a kind,” after signing his Book of Condolences at Lusaka’s Belvedere Lodge.
