WE KNOW THOSE BOYS ARE CROOKS, DON’T TRUST THEM WITH ZAMBIA’S MONEY.

President Hakainde Hichilema has taken a swipe at Brian Mundubile and Makebi Zulu, urging Zambians not to entrust the country’s leadership to people he described as “well-known crooks.”

Speaking at a campaign rally in Chisamba, President Hichilema said the opposition leaders were simply copying the UPND government’s policies instead of offering original solutions.

He cited promises on free education and the rollout of solar power projects, arguing that these were already being implemented by his administration.

“Those boys are crooks. We know them. You should never trust them with your money. Not long ago, one of them was saying they would eat the reserves with his team”.

“Today they are talking about introducing free education. How do you introduce something that is already law?” President Hichilema said.

The President also questioned the opposition’s desire to return to power, saying Zambia should not be handed back to leaders he accused of putting personal interests ahead of the country’s welfare.

“We should never go back to people who are more interested in their own pockets than the country’s. They say they want to come back into office—but to do what?” he asked.
