IRGC Warns UK Over Use of British Bases for U.S. Strikes
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned the United Kingdom against allowing U.S. military aircraft to operate from British bases for strikes against Iran.
According to Iranian state media, the IRGC said any country that permits its territory or military facilities to be used in attacks on Iran could be regarded as a legitimate military target for retaliation.
The warning follows reports that the United States has used long-range bomber operations from overseas bases as part of its military campaign.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry also condemned Britain’s reported support for U.S. operations, arguing that providing military facilities for such actions would increase regional tensions and carry consequences.
The United Kingdom has not announced any change to its policy, while no immediate response to the Iranian warning had been issued at the time of reporting.
