Russian Su-57 Fighter Jet Reportedly Crashes Near Moscow
A Russian Su-57 fifth-generation stealth fighter reportedly crashed in the Odintsovo district of Moscow Oblast, near the town of Zvenigorod, while conducting a routine training flight.
According to local reports, the aircraft exploded in mid-air before crashing near a populated area. The pilot successfully ejected and survived the incident.
No casualties or significant damage on the ground have been reported so far.
Russian authorities have not yet released an official statement on the cause of the crash. The Su-57 is Russia’s flagship fifth-generation stealth fighter, with only a limited number believed to be in operational service.
