BALLOT PAPERS ARRIVE ON 26TH JULY ABOARD CHARTERED FLIGHT
The printing of ballot papers to be used in the 13th August 2026 general election has been concluded, with the first batch expected to arrive in Zambia on 26th July aboard a chartered aircraft from Dubai.
The Electoral Commission of Zambia Corporate Affairs Manager, Patricia Luhanga, says six chartered flights will deliver the ballot papers.
She notes that one flight will be scheduled to arrive each day until 31st July 2026.
Luhanga states that verification of the ballot papers will begin on 27th July at 10:00 hours at the ECZ Silverest Warehouse in Lusaka.
She says registered political parties, civil society and faith-based organisations, as well as accredited members of the media, will be allowed to witness the exercise.
Luhanga states that all stakeholders and journalists intending to cover the verification process must obtain accreditation from the Commission at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre.
