ZELENSKYY BRUSHES OFF TUCKER CARLSON WITH SHARP REMARK
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a pointed response when asked whether he had watched Tucker Carlson’s recent interview
“All people are different. But there are smart people. And there are not very smart people. I watch smart people. And I never watch stupid people. Because it doesn’t help anything. So I didn’t watch Tucker Carlson’s interview.”
The remark quickly drew attention online, adding another chapter to the long-running tension between Zelenskyy and Carlson, who has frequently criticized U.S. support for Ukraine and questioned Kyiv’s leadership since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
Rather than engaging with Carlson’s arguments directly, Zelenskyy dismissed the interview outright, making it clear he sees little value in responding to commentators he believes do not contribute constructively to the discussion.
The exchange also reflects Zelenskyy’s increasingly direct communication style. More than three years into the full-scale war, he has become noticeably less diplomatic when responding to critics he believes amplify narratives that undermine Ukraine’s defense or distort the realities of the conflict.
Whether one agrees with Carlson or not, Zelenskyy’s message was unmistakable: he has no intention of spending time responding to voices he believes offer nothing of value while Ukraine remains at war. 🇺🇦
