Former Minister of Livestock Greyford Monde has questioned the leadership credentials of Tonse Alliance presidential candidate Brian Mundubile and his running mate, saying neither has the experience required to govern the country.
Speaking at a UPND campaign rally in Southern Province, Mr. Monde argued that leadership should be judged by both public service and private sector performance.
He claimed the two opposition leaders only served as provincial ministers and had not demonstrated the experience needed to lead Zambia.
Mr. Monde also criticised the private sector record of one of the opposition leaders and accused the opposition alliance of lacking broad national representation.
The remarks were made during a UPND campaign rally and reflect Mr. Monde’s political views on the opposition ahead of the August 13 General Election.
