ARSON TRAP CHARGE: Munir Zulu Says A Trap Was Set By UPND Cadres To Attract Criminal Charges On Opposition
… Suspected UPND Cadres Descend On Mundubile’s Camp, Again
UPND cadres last night attacked Eshuko Apartments where part of opposition NRPUP leader Brian Mundubile’s campaign team are staying in Kitwe.
The cadres fled the scene and abandoned the bus registration number BLC 4817zm which they were using for their operations.
NRPUP MCC Munir Zulu says the abandoning of the vehicle was a trap by the UPND leadership
“First and foremost, we commend our team on the ground for exercising maximum restraint and unbelievable patience.
“By refusing to burn or destroy the vehicle abandoned by these criminals, our team successfully foiled a setup.
“The clear intent of our adversaries was to provoke our members into destruction so they could turn around and slap our people with fabricated, trumped up charges like arson.
“We saw right through the trap, and we did not fall for it.
To all our supporters across the nation, stay focused and do not be provoked,” he said.
“We have only one weapon in this election and that weapon is the ballot paper.
“On 13th August 2026, we will deliver our response peacefully, decisively and overwhelmingly at the polls.
“Channel every frustration, every outrage, and every desire for change into your vote. Protect your peace today so that you can exercise your power on voting day.”
This is the second time Mundubile’s team have been attacked with property damaged. No arrests have been made despite police know the UPND perpetrators of the violence on the Copperbelt.

Those are just Mundubile’s own gangsters. Leave us alone. Your plan B will not work
Where are the police??
They seem to be good at extorting fines from hapless motorists. Seen cruising around in their vans perching dangerously on the sides of the pan looking for a motorist to devour while thugs are having a field day!!
