Iranian Lawmaker Warns Ukraine of Consequences Following Alleged Drone Attack on Iranian Vessel
Threats from Iranian officials toward Ukraine have continued to escalate following the reported Ukrainian drone strike on an Iranian-owned commercial vessel, further heightening tensions between the two countries.
Ebrahim Azizi, a member of Iran’s Parliament, warned that any attack against Iran would be met with retaliation, saying those responsible should expect consequences.
“Every attack against Iran comes with a price. The United States and Israel know that very well,” Azizi said.
He also issued a direct warning to Ukraine, suggesting that Kyiv would soon experience Iran’s response.
“Ukraine will soon learn that Iran never leaves any hostile act unanswered. The list of those making grave miscalculations continues to grow,” he added.
Azizi’s remarks come amid rising regional tensions following reports that Ukraine targeted an Iranian commercial vessel with a drone. The incident has prompted increasingly strong rhetoric from Tehran, with Iranian officials signaling that they may respond to what they describe as an act of aggression.
The latest statements underscore the growing risk of a broader diplomatic and security confrontation, as Iran continues to accuse Ukraine of hostile actions while warning that any attack on its interests will not go unanswered.
