JACINTA NGOBESE-ZUMA AND MARCH AND MARCH TO JOIN ZIMBABWEANS ON 31 JULY FOR PRETORIA PROTEST
Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma and her civic organisation, March and March, are expected to join Zimbabweans and South Africans in a planned peaceful picket outside the Zimbabwean Embassy in Pretoria on 31 July.
According to organisers, the demonstration is expected to bring together supporters from both South Africa and Zimbabwe to raise concerns about political and governance issues affecting Zimbabwe. The protest is intended to take place peacefully and in accordance with South African laws governing public demonstrations.
The announcement that March and March will participate has attracted attention on social media, with supporters welcoming the move while others continue to debate the role South Africans should play in demonstrations concerning neighbouring countries.
Organisers are encouraging participants to conduct themselves peacefully and respectfully throughout the event. Authorities have not yet publicly commented on the planned picket.
Do you think Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma and March and March joining the protest will increase its impact, or should South African organisations stay out of Zimbabwe’s political matters?
