You don’t find a job for a certain period, your loan gets scrapped off, Mundubile tells university graduates

NRPUP presidential hopeful Brian Mundubile has pledged to write off student loans for graduates who remain unemployed for a specified period, saying the move would ease the burden on young people struggling to find jobs after completing their studies.

Speaking in Solwezi at a rally, Mundubile said the proposal was reached after consultations with his running mate, Makebi Zulu.

He said an NRPUP government would scrap outstanding student loans for graduates who remain unemployed for a certain period after leaving university, giving them “peace of mind.”

Mundubile said his administration would also increase meal allowances for university students to improve their welfare while pursuing their studies.

“So to you students, just know that we are going to adjust the meal allowances. And for student loans, we have sat with the Vice President and we are looking at it.

“Students are having loans without jobs for a long time, so what we have agreed is that if a student stays for a certain period of time after graduating, the pending loan will be scrapped off so that they have a peace of mind,” he said.

  1. Promises driven by desperation for power. These are indeed foolish, empty promises couched in deception. Politicians can really be immoral, eehhh!

    • Why wait for a period of unemployment.scrap the loans immediately because most graduates will wait for that period of time to elapse before getting a job
      Idiots!

  2. I can’t understand.the reasoning of Mr. Mundubile. How can loan repayment be a bother to someone who is unemployed and hence doesnot have to pay back? The loan repayment kicks in only when the individual gets employed.

If you scrap loan repayments, how are you going to finance new student loans and the meal allowances you intend to increase?

Mr. Mundubile is a con artist. His promises are unrealistic and won’t be implemented even if he is given ten years to rule.

  3. Even jobs won’t be there. they know it and that’s the reason for all these un realistic promises. The economy will quickly fall and rush into pieces. Meal allowances will go, Mulungushi Textiles, Nitrogen Chemicals of Zambia, Mines will all collapse again. Investors will pack their bags and flee the country as they have confidence in Mundubile. Dollar tukaleshita pali k45 to k50, the economy will be quickly run down. The guys have two manifestos and they don’t have any idea as to which one they will be using.
