Turkish President: Israel’s Occupation of Palestinian Territories Is the Root Cause of Regional Instability

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has accused Israel of gradually expanding its occupation of Palestinian territories, saying it continues to disregard fundamental human rights while violating international law.

Speaking on the ongoing situation in the Middle East, Erdoğan stated that Israel is systematically seizing more Palestinian land, arguing that its policies undermine the rights of Palestinians and ignore internationally recognized legal principles.

“The main source of the region’s instability is the oppression that Israel imposes on the Palestinian people,” Erdoğan said, stressing that lasting peace cannot be achieved unless the Palestinian issue is resolved through a just and lawful settlement

The Turkish leader has been one of Israel’s most vocal critics throughout the conflict, repeatedly calling for an immediate ceasefire, increased humanitarian assistance for civilians in Gaza, and stronger international action to protect Palestinian rights.

His latest remarks come amid continued regional tensions and renewed diplomatic efforts by several countries to address the conflict and prevent further escalation across the Middle East.
