In the unforgiving corridors of power where democracy’s fate teeters precariously, a chilling narrative unfolds—one revealing the brutal lengths to which President Hakainde Hichilema would go to hijack the voice of the people.
ZAMBIA WATCHDOG RESPONSE: this is exactly how hogwash looks like . Using how sounding words to say nothing at best rubbish at worst .
The saga begins with a failed clandestine operation: illicit Tanzanian ballot papers printed in secret, intended to be smuggled to Dubai to be mixed with legitimate ballot papers printed in Dubai before being shipped back to Zambia as legitimate documents.
ZWD RESPONSE: even the most dull PF cadre can not believe this. Why not just do it right in Zambia if there was need for all this drama?
The scheme was meticulously crafted to create forged ballots in favour of Hichilema.
Yet, this plan was thwarted. With the plot’s collapse, the shadow players found themselves scrambling for a new strategy.

Intelligence officers, district commissioners, council clerks, council secretaries—and most alarmingly, foreign nationals from two undisclosed countries—would be given fake IDs to act as presiding officers and assistant presiding officers at polling stations.

To insulate the scheme from public exposure; only ID numbers, not names of these foreigners to work as presiding officers and assistant presiding officers at polling stations are to be released or published.
Concealing names was crucial, for if locals saw foreign names on official lists, arrests and uproar would surely follow.
Hichilema’s covert tactic reflects not just desperation but a dangerous willingness to undermine democratic integrity with calculated deception.
The involvement of foreign agents and forged identities threatens to erode trust in electoral processes and risks igniting social unrest among a populace hungry for transparency and justice.
