MWANDI CONSTITUENCY IS MOVING FORWARD 🇿🇲
The Constituency Development Fund (CDF) is making a visible difference in Mwandi. Between 2022 and 2025, investments have improved education, healthcare, water supply, infrastructure, and economic empowerment across the constituency.
Here are some of the key achievements:
📚 4,913 school desks delivered
🏫 28 classroom blocks (75 classrooms) constructed
🏠 8 teachers’ houses built
🚻 1 school ablution block constructed
🏥 3 rural health facilities established or upgraded
🤱 1 maternal annex and 1 mothers’ shelter built
🚑 1 ambulance provided to Mwandi Mission Hospital
💧 6 water schemes completed
⚡ 1 rural electrification project implemented
💡 1 street lighting project completed
👑 1 Chief’s Palace constructed
🚓 1 patrol motorbike provided
🚜 2 specialised vehicles and 2 motor vehicles acquired
🎓 Investing in People • 1,101 school bursaries awarded
• 616 skills training bursaries provided
💼 Empowering Communities • ZMW 11.97 million disbursed in community grants to support livestock, agriculture, manufacturing, trade, fisheries, savings groups and other businesses.
👷 337 jobs created through CDF-supported projects.
Overall Progress (2022–2025): ✅ 63 projects approved
✅ ZMW 71.97 million invested
✅ 73% completion rate
✅ 46 projects already functional and delivering services.
These investments demonstrate how CDF can improve lives by taking development directly to communities. The challenge now is to complete the remaining projects and ensure all completed facilities are well maintained so that the people of Mwandi continue to benefit for many years to come. 🇿🇲
