POLICE DISMISS CLAIMS OF ARRESTS OF TWO FORMER MINISTERS OVER ALLEGED COPPER THEFT

The Zambia Police Service has dismissed as false social media claims that two former ministers have been arrested in connection with the alleged copper theft case on the Copperbelt.

Police Public Relations Officer Godfrey Chilabi said the number of suspects arrested remains six, as previously announced.

Mr. Chilabi says no additional arrests have been made and has urged the public to disregard the misleading reports and rely only on official statements issued by the Zambia Police Service.
