RESOLUTE PARTY PRESIDENT ENDORSES PRESIDENT HAKAINDE HICHILEMA AHEAD OF AUGUST 13 POLLS

Resolute Party (RP) President Martin Phiri has endorsed President Hakainde Hichilema ahead of the 13 August 2026 General Election.

Mr. Phiri announced his endorsement during a public engagement addressed by President Hichilema in Katete District, Eastern Province. He said his decision was based on his confidence in President Hichilema’s leadership and development agenda.

The endorsement comes despite the Resolute Party being part of the Tonse Pamozi Alliance, where the party’s presidential candidate, Makebi Zulu, is serving as the running mate to Brian Mundubile. The alliance also has several parliamentary and local government candidates contesting the elections on the Resolute Party ticket.

Mr. Phiri’s endorsement is expected to attract political attention as campaigns enter their final days before Zambians head to the polls on 13 August.
