Iran Rejects Trump Claim, Says Military Remains on Highest Alert
Iranian Deputy Defense Minister Majid Ebn-e-Reza and Iranian state-linked media have rejected U.S. President Donald Trump’s claim that Tehran had requested a suspension of attacks.
Iranian officials reportedly described the statement as part of “psychological warfare” by the United States, arguing that Tehran had not asked Washington to halt its military operations.
Iran also emphasized that its armed forces remain at the highest level of military alert, with defensive and retaliatory capabilities maintained in a state of readiness.
The latest response underscores the widening gap between Washington and Tehran over the reported diplomatic framework, with Iran continuing to deny that it requested a halt to U.S. attacks.
