Zambians in all 10 Province have agreed to vote for me, Hichilema tells Chipata voters

PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has told the people of Chipata District in Eastern Province that, people in nine other Provinces of Zambia have agreed to vote for him on August 13.

Addressing a gathering in Chipata, President Hichilema said the support by other Provinces was due to developmental projects being implemented by the UPND government.

He said that voting for the UPND means Zambians will not return to paying school fees, a policy which his government has abolished.

“Voting for the Tonse Alliance boys means that going back to paying school fees. Do you want to starting paying school fees again? The answer is no,”he said.

The President further announced that his government is scheduled to open the first-ever power station in Chipata once the ongoing solar plant project is completed.

He described the plant as the first of its kind in Chipata and in Eastern Province as a whole.

President Hichilema also said the previous administration borrowed huge sums of money which they failed to repay.

He added that since the UPND came into power, the government has, ‘cleared all debts’.

He said this track record is the reason why Zambians should vote for the UPND in the 2026 elections.
