DRONE STRIKE SPARKS FIRE AT BELGOROD UNIVERSITY INVOLVED IN UAV DEVELOPMENT
A fire broke out at Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov following a reported drone attack in Russia’s Belgorod.
According to available information, the university has been involved in the development and testing of unmanned aerial systems, including work on an automated UAV control system based on the Russian-made Milandr microprocessor.
University officials have maintained that the technology was intended for civilian applications, such as inspecting power lines, monitoring heating networks, and conducting aerial surveys.
However, since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, the distinction between civilian and military drone technology has become increasingly blurred.
