JERE DISMISSES CLAIMS MUNDUBILE WILL SHUN SOUTHERN PROVINCE CAMPAIGN

Livingstone… Monday August 3, 2026 (SMART EAGLES)

Southern Province Presidential Campaign Coordinator, under Tonse Pamodzi Alliance, Ronnie Jere, has dismissed as false and divisive claims circulating on social media alleging that the Tonse Pamodzi Alliance presidential candidate, Brian Mundubile, will not campaign in Southern Province.

Mr. Jere, who is also National Freedom Front (NFF) President, described the allegations, attributed to “Seer 1”, as misleading and intended to sow division among Zambians.

Mr. Jere told Smart Eagles in a telephone interview that assertions that Mr. Mundubile would avoid campaigning in Southern Province were baseless and aimed at promoting tribal divisions ahead of the elections.

“The claims being circulated by Seer 1 alleging that President Brian Mundubile will not campaign in Southern Province are completely false, misleading, and clearly meant to divide Zambians along tribal lines,” Mr. Jere said.

He stressed that Mr. Mundubile’s campaign was national in character and would reach all parts of the country regardless of regional or tribal affiliations.

“President Mundubile’s campaign is national, inclusive, and focused on every Zambian regardless of region or tribe. Southern Province is an integral part of Zambia, and no serious leader can ignore or write off any part of our country,” he stated.

Mr. Jere further dismissed what he described as a “leaked audio” circulating online, saying it was fabricated to create confusion and undermine the NFF’s growing support.

“This so-called ‘leaked audio’ is nothing more than a fabrication designed to create confusion, spread hatred, and undermine a campaign that is gaining momentum across all provinces—including Southern Province,” he added.

He urged Zambians to reject what he termed propaganda intended to inflame trib@l tensions, saying the party remained committed to promoting national unity and development.

“Zambians must reject this kind of cheap propaganda. We cannot allow desperate individuals to drag our country backwards into tribal politics. Our focus is unity, development, and delivering real change for all,” Mr. Jere said.

He maintained that Mr. Mundubile would campaign across the country.

“President Mundubile will campaign where the people are—and the people are everywhere in Zambia,” Mr. Jere said.
