COUNCIL CHAIRPERSON AND 7 COUNCILORS GO UNOPPOSED IN MONZE DISTRICT
The United Party for National Development (UPND) has secured several positions unopposed in the coming elections.
UPND Council Chairperson candidate Vinoria Chilala went unopposed following the disqualification of Socialist Party candidate Nyanga Nsazya.
In addition, UPND candidates were declared unopposed in seven wards, including Nchimunya Mayor (Kaila Ward), Brian Habamba (Choongo West – Bweengwa Constituency), Brian Chingula (Katimba), Monga Parton (Hatontola – Monze Central), Robson Mayambu (Mayaba – Monze East), and Hachimvwa Moses (Chisekesi Ward).
Furthermore, in Moomba Constituency, Mutinta Macdonald was declared winner after no other candidates filed nominations.
