Trump Praises Iran’s Resilience Amid Rising Tensions
U.S. President Donald Trump has acknowledged Iran’s resilience despite escalating tensions between Washington and Tehran, saying the country has continued to withstand pressure.
Speaking about Iran, Trump said:
“Most people would have given up by now. But Iran hasn’t, so I give them credit for that. They’ve been known as being tough. They’re tough.”
The remarks come amid a new round of heightened tensions following reports that Iran shot down a U.S. MQ-9 Reaper drone. Iranian authorities have also rejected reports of ongoing negotiations with the United States, insisting that no active talks are taking place.
The reported drone incident has not been independently verified, and U.S. officials have not publicly confirmed the loss of an MQ-9 Reaper at the time of writing.
Trump’s comments suggest a recognition of Iran’s endurance while broader diplomatic and military tensions between the two countries continue to evolve.
