Iran Denies Talks With U.S., Says It Will Continue Fighting Without Clear Deal
Iran has rejected claims by U.S. President Donald Trump that negotiations between Washington and Tehran are currently underway.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said there are “no negotiations with the United States at this time,” disputing Trump’s characterization of the situation.
Tehran said its current contacts are limited to coordination with Oman, acting as an intermediary, particularly over arrangements concerning temporary maritime routes through the Strait of Hormuz.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Tehran does not seek to expand the conflict, but stressed that Iran remains prepared to defend its sovereignty.
The latest statements indicate that diplomatic channels remain open through regional intermediaries, but there is still no confirmed direct agreement between Iran and the United States to end the conflict.
