GUNS GO BLAZING IN MONGU, AS CADRES CLASH OVER BLOCKAGE.
In a video circulating online, a bodyguard attached to Toonse Pamodzi Alliance presidential candidate Brian Mundubile is seen allegedly throwing a stone at a group of UPND supporters as police officers look on.
According to reports, UPND supporters had blocked Mundubile’s convoy from accessing a venue where the alliance intended to hold a political rally.
The video appears to show a bodyguard wearing a black and blue jacket throwing a stone toward the supporters, after which a confrontation breaks out.
Moments later, individuals believed to be Mundubile’s bodyguards are seen drawing firearms as tensions escalate, while UPND supporters are seen following the convoy.
The Zambia Police Service has not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident or confirmed whether any arrests have been made.
