HAIMBE SAYS PRESIDENT HICHILEMA’S CONFIDENCE OF SECURING 9 OUT OF 10 PROVINCES BASED ON DIRECT PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT

UPND Vice Legal Chairperson Mulambo Haimbe says President Hakainde Hichilema’s confidence of securing votes in 9 out of 10 provinces is based on personal assurances he has been given by the Zambian people.

Mr. Haimbe says the President’s confidence is based on his direct engagement with citizens during his current community engagements.

He noted that beyond addressing rallies, President Hichilema takes time to interact personally with members of the public, who have expressed appreciation for his government’s progressive policies and development initiatives.

Mr. Haimbe has told Phoenix News in an interview that President Hichilema’s confidence is also anchored on the performance of the UPND administration during its first term in office.

And Mr. Haimbe has dismissed assertions that many UPND parliamentary candidates are unlikely to win their respective seats, saying aspiring Members of Parliament are equally confident of victory.

He explained that elections are ultimately won by convincing voters why a particular candidate deserves their support, adding that UPND parliamentary candidates are actively engaging communities across the country to earn that trust.
